TRANSFERRING THE PROPERTY AND RECORDS OF THE OFFICE OF THE PEACE COMMISSIONER TO CERTAIN UNITS OF THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT
In view of the fact that the Office of the Peace Commissioner (Office) was created pursuant to Administrative Order No. 30 as a special unit under the Office of the President and considered co-terminous with the past administration, the transfer of all its properties, records and accounts is hereby authorized as follows, subject to the pertinent accounting and auditing rules and regulations:
1. All supplies, equipment, office furnitures and other properties of the office shall be transferred to the Property and Procurement Office, OP.1aшphi1
2. All records of the office shall be transferred to the Malacaņang Records Office.
3. The books of accounts shall be transferred to the Accounting Office, OP.
4. The unexpended balances of the office appropriation for CY 1992, if any, shall be turned aver to the National Treasury.
Any valid claim for compensation and other benefits that may be due the officers and employees of the office under existing law is hereby authorized to be paid subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing requirements.
The office shall coordinate with the heads of the above-mentioned OP offices and the turn-over shall be immediately effected. Thereafter, copies of the invoices/receipts of the transfers shall be furnished the Office of the Executive Secretary.
This Memorandum Order shall take effect on August 31, 1992.
