SUBJECT	IMPLEMENTING GUIDELINES FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF RA 7279 OR THE URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING ACT

In line with the need to implement the provisions of Republic Act No. 7279 entitled, “An Act to Provide for a Comprehensive and Continuing Urban Development and Housing Program, Establish the Mechanism for Its Implementation, and For Other Purposes”, the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council is hereby directed to:

1. Prioritize and issue the implementing guidelines for the implementation of the following provisions of R.A. 7279 on or before 1 September 1992:

a. Provision of incentives for private sector developers participating in social housing;

b. Guidelines on Demolition and Eviction;

c. Identification of Sites for Socialized Housing;

d. Eligibility Criteria for Socialized Housing for Program Beneficiaries.

2. Coordinate with the Department of Finance in the formulation of the incentives schemes for private sector developers.1aшphi1
