MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Memorandum Order No. 308, July 27, 1990 ] DIRECTING THE GOVERNMENT SERVICE INSURANCE SYSTEM (GSIS) TO IMMEDIATELY USE THE PROPERTY REPLACEMENT FUND FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OR REHABILITATION OF GOVERNMENT PROPERTIES DAMAGED DURING THE JULY 16, 1990 EARTHQUAKE In view of the extent of the devastation caused by the July 16, 1990 earthquake, the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) is hereby directed to immediately use P250 million out of the amount released under the Property Replacement Fund for the necessary reconstruction or rehabilitation of government facilities damaged during the said calamity. Priority shall be given to the reconstruction or rehabilitation of school buildings and hospitals. An Oversight Committee composed of one representative each from the GSIS, the Department of Public Works and Highways, the Department of Education, Culture and Sports, the Department of Health, and the Department of Budget and Management is hereby constituted to monitor the implementation of this Memorandum Order.1aшphi1 Manila, July 27, 1990 (Sgd.)
