CONSTITUTING A METRO-MANILA LAND TRANSPORTATION COORDINATING COUNCIL
There is hereby constituted the Metro Manila Land Transportation Coordinating Council, hereinafter referred to as Council, composed of the following:

The Council shall have the following functions:
1. To review existing policies, programs, laws, rules and regulations on land transportation;
2. To identify and resolve issues and problems affecting land transportation;
3. To formulate and recommend to the President, the Department of Transportation and Communications, the Department of Public Works and Highways and other appropriate agencies policies, strategies and measures aimed at improving the land transportation system; and
4. To coordinate all policies programs, projects and efforts pertaining to land transportation, all with the focus on the Metro-Manila land transportation situation.1aшphi1
The Council may create committees as may be necessary to assist it in the discharge of its functions.
There is no new Office created herein and there is no additional budget outlay appropriated on account of the creation of this Council. The heads or their duly authorized representatives of agencies comprising the Council shall perform their respective duties as part of their normal functions without additional compensation.
This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.
