MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Memorandum Order No. 231, April 25, 1989 ] AUTHORIZING CERTAIN OFFICIALS IN THE OFFICE OF PRESIDENT (PROPER) TO INCUR EXTRAORDINARY MISCELLANEOUS EXPENSES IN CONNECTION WITH PERFORMANCE OF THEIR OFFICIAL DUTIES The officials in the Office of the President holding the positions of (a) Secretary or equivalent rank, (b) Undersecretary or equivalent rank, and (c) Assistant Executive Secretary/Assistant Secretary are hereby authorized to incur extraordinary and miscellaneous expenses in connection with the performance of their official duties at such rates as are allowable in accordance with Section 19 of the General Provisions of the General Appropriations Act for CV 1989. No portion of the amounts authorized in Section 1.9 of the General Provisions of the General Appropriations Act for CV 1989 shall be used for salaries, wages, allowances, intelligence and confidential expenses. All such expenses shall be chargeable against the funds of this Office, subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing regulations.
