ADOPTING THE LUNTIANG KAMAYNILAAN PROGRAM AND PROVIDING FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION

In line with the government’s policy to help ensure a healthy environment in the Metropolitan Manila area, the Luntiang Kamaynilaan Program as formulated by the Presidential Management Staff, Office of the President, is hereby adopted.

Pursuant to this, an Inter-Agency Committee is hereby created composed of:

1. Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Chairman;

2. Metro Manila Commission, Co-Chairman;

3. Office of the Press Secretary, Member;

4. Presidential Management Staff, Member;

5. Department of Public Works and Highways, Member;

6. Chairman, Metro Manila Mayors’ League, Member;

which shall oversee the overall implementation of the Luntiang Kamaynilaan Program and shall be responsible for identifying the sites of the Hardin ng Bayan in coordination with the respective Local Government Units. The said Committee shall report to the President through the Cabinet Officer for Regional Development, National Capital Region regarding the implementation of the said program.

This order shall take effect immediately.
