EXPANDING THE SCOPE OF THE FUNCTIONS OF THE PROMOTION/SELECTION BOARD IN THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT

Memorandum Order No. 822 dated July 10, 1985, as amended by Memorandum Order No. 147, dated January 15, 1988, is hereby further amended to include among the functions of the Promotion/Selection Board, the following:

1. To review and pass upon proposals for reinstatement of former employees of the Office of the President

2. To review and pass upon proposed shifting with increase in salary of employees from regular position to position paid from Lump-Sum appropriations, with the end in view of recommending only absolutely meritorious cases.1aшphi1

3. To review and pass upon recommendations to hire new employees to determine whether the new recruits are necessary based on the actual needs of the unit concerned.

4. Renewal of temporary employees as recommended by their respective heads of offices
