MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Memorandum Order No. 156, February 8, 1988 ] GRANTING SALARY INCREASES FOR POSITIONS IN THE UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES SYSTEM The increase in salaries of teaching positions by 10% in the University of the Philippines System is hereby authorized effective March 1, 1987, subject to the following conditions: 1. That funds to implement this increase corresponding to 1987 requirements shall be charged to the 1987 Compensation and Adjustment Fund (COAF); 2. Fund requirement to implement this increase in 1988 and in future years shall be from savings to be generated by closing of programs and/or activities currently receiving appropriations. A plan shall be submitted by UPS outlining which programs and/or activities are to be phased out sufficient to generate the required funding; 3. That notwithstanding the authorized salary adjustment, in the computation of the same, no subordinate official or employee shall be adjusted to a salary rate higher than 5% below that authorized for his immediate supervisor; 4. The UPS shall submit to the Compensation and Position Classification Bureau of the Department of Budget and Management the corresponding plantilla of personnel embodying the salary adjustment for post-audit.1aшphi1 The Secretary of Budget and Management shall issue the necessary rules and regulations to implement this Memorandum Order.
