[ Memorandum Order No. 94, June 22, 1987 ]

CREATING THE SECRETARIAT ON YOUTH AFFAIRS

There is hereby created a secretariat under the Office of the President, to be known as the Secretariat on Youth Affairs. It shall be composed of former members of the Youth Affairs Committee to be headed by Martin Yuchioco as Executive Director.

The Secretariat shall have the following functions and responsibilities:

1. Coordinate and facilitate the conduct of youth consultative assemblies, nation-wide; and

2. Organize an annual National Organizing Committee and its staff-secretariat, which shall be charged with the task of preparing and implementing for the Philippines, the Ship for South East Asian Youth Program; and it shall be the main coordinating and implementing body for the Philippine participation in the ASEAN Youth Forum.

The Secretariat shall serve at the pleasure of the President.

This Memorandum Order shall take effect immediately.1aшphi1
