[ Memorandum Order No. 134, November 19, 1987 ]
GRANTING SALARY INCREASES FOR POSITIONS IN THE FOREIGN SERVICE INSTITUTE AND UNESCO NATIONAL COMMISSION OF THE PHILIPPINES (NCP) UNDER THE DEPARTMENT OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS.
The increase in salaries of officials and employees of the Foreign Service Institute (FSI) by 15% for those whose assimilated ranks are FSO IV to Chief of Mission and 30% for those personnel whose assimilated ranks are FSSE III to FSSO I and the UNESCO (NCP) officials and employees by 20% except the Executive Secretary and UNESCO Philippine Assistant Secretary, who are entitled to only 5% increase, is hereby authorized, subject to the following conditions:
1. The use of savings realized from allotments for personnel services cost to fund the salary adjustment;
2. Notwithstanding the percentage increase on the authorized salary adjustment, a 5% or One-step difference between superior and subordinate positions in the hierarchical levels established shall be observed;
3. The FSI and UNESCO NCP shall submit to the Compensation and Position Classification Bureau of the Department of Budget and Management the corresponding plantilla of personnel embodying the salary adjustment for checking, without prejudice to the refund of any excess payments made to the employee concerned;
4. The salary increase herein authorized shall be effective January 1, 1987.1aшphi1
The Secretary of Budget and Management shall issue the necessary rules and regulations to implement this Memorandum Order.
