MALACAÑAN PALACE
MANILA
BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES
[ Memorandum Order No. 108, September 10, 1987 ]
AUTHORIZING THE NEWLY REORGANIZED ENERGY REGULATORY BOARD TO ADOPT THE OP PAY PLAN
The Board of Energy prior to its reorganization into the Energy Regulatory Board under Executive Order No. 172 was previously authorized to grant its personnel inflation-connected allowance chargeable against its income per P.D. No. 1206 as amended by P.D. No. 1573.
Executive Order No. 172 does not have a provision for the new Energy Regulatory Board to continue to use a portion of its income for personnel benefits, hence, it can no longer grant said allowance.1aшphi1
Consistent with the policy of the National Government not to diminish the established compensation level of its employees, the newly reconstituted Energy Regulatory Board is hereby authorized to adopt the OP Pay Plan under E.O. No. 530.
The amount needed to implement this authority shall be taken from the agency’s appropriations.
By Authority of the President:
(Sgd.) JOKER P. ARROYO
