CREATING PRESIDENTIAL TASK FORCE TO STUDY THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE MERGING OF THE EXECUTIVE COUNCILS OF REGIONS IX AND XII AS EMBODIED IN BATAS PAMBANSA BLG. 229 DATED MAY 23, 1982.
WHEREAS, it is imperative that the implementation of Batas Pambansa Blg. 229 which merges the Executive Councils of Regions IX and XII in relation to the Tripoli Agreement be studied immediately with a view to submitting appropriate recommendations thereon.
In view of the foregoing, there is hereby created a Presidential Task Force to study the implementation of the merging of the Executive Councils of Regions IX and XII composed of the following:

The Task Force shall specifically look into the following:
1. Feasibility of establishing the Office of the Chairman and the offices of the Vice-Chairmen in Zamboanga City and Cotabato City of the merged Executive Councils for Regions IX and XII, respectively.
2. Working relationship with the Regional Assembly (Sangguniang Pampook) and the various line ministries and agencies of the government in the region.
3. Procedure for the effective supervision of all rehabilitation activities.
4. Identification of problems relative to the normalization of trade, commerce, industry and agriculture, including the administrative control and supervision of the barter trade operations.
5. Determination of the forms of assistance required from the government to hasten the efforts towards national reconciliation.1aшphi1
6. The strategy to be pursued for the resumption of the peace dialogue with the Moro National Liberation Front leaders.
The Task Force shall enlist the support and assistance of all government agencies concerned in its task of formulating appropriate recommendation.
This Order shall take effect immediately.
