MALACAÑAN PALACE
MANILA

BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES

[ Memorandum Order No. 828, September 20, 1985 ]

AUTHORIZING THE CONDUCT IN THIS OFFICE OF AN ORIENTATION COURSE ON OFFICE COURTESY

Courtesy is a major consideration in the performance of our duties and responsibilities. In the Office of the President which is generally regarded as the office of last recourse in the overall set-up of the Executive Department, observance of courtesy in dealing with the public, even on the telephone, should be a cardinal rule among employees.

There is, therefore, a need to conduct in this Office a series of training programs on courtesy to instill in our employees its value and importance. Our employees should be made to fully appreciate the fact that courtesy helps a great deal in maintaining the faith and confidence of the people in government.1aшphi1

Accordingly, the Training Staff of this Office is hereby authorized to conduct a training program on office courtesy starting this quarter and every quarter thereafter, at the dates to be determined by the Personnel Office in coordination with the Finance Office, until sufficient number of our employees shall have undergone the training.

All heads of primary units and offices are hereby enjoined to send their employees to this training program on a staggered and well-scheduled basis which may not prejudice the services of our units.
