MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Memorandum Order No. 612, April 25, 1978 ] REQUIRING THE ATTENDANCE OF OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES IN THIS OFFICE IN THE LECTURE ON “FIRE PREVENTION AND SAFETY CONSCIOUSNESS”. In view of the high incidence of fires that have hit Metro Manila lately, causing death and injury to persons and damage to properties, the immediacy of developing consciousness and involvement of all citizens in the prevention and suppression of fires, not only in homes and commercial establishments but also in government offices, has never been as great as of now. The Safety Research and Developing Center, a private fire-safety oriented company, has offered to conduct a one-hour lecture on “Fire Prevention and Safety Consciousness.” We are taking advantage of this offer for the benefit of officials and employees of this Office. The lecture will be held at 9:30 A.M. on Wednesday, April 26,1978, at the Briefing Room, Fourth Floor, Administration Building.1aшphi1 Considering the importance of this lecture, all heads of offices/units in this Office are hereby authorized to require their employees to attend the said lecture, particularly janitors, watchmen and employees designated as security officers of their respective units.
