MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Memorandum Order No. 589, April 25, 1977 ] REQUIRING ALL OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES IN THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT, THE BUDGET COMMISSION, THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC INFORMATION, AND THE DEPARTMENT OF YOUTH AND SPORTS DEVELOPMENT TO ATTEND THE CLOSING AND OPENING CEREMONIES OF THE MALACAÑANG ATHLETIC PROGRAM. In line with the President’s ongoing program of human resources development, the Malacañang Athletic Program will hold simultaneously on April 27, 1977, at the Philippine College of Commerce Cultural and Sports Center, Sta. Mesa, Manila, the closing of the 1976-1977 and opening of the 1977-1978 Malacañang Sports Tournaments. The Office of the President, the Budget Commission, the Department of Public Information, and the Department of Youth and Sports Development are members of this Program and all officials and employees thereof are urged to participate in appropriate sports activities. Their attendance in the April 27th closing/opening ceremonies is compulsory.1aшphi1 The said ceremonies shall start at 1:30 p.m. sharp; all officials and employees of member-offices shall assemble in front of the Malacañang Administration Building at 1:00 o’clock p.m., sharp, and troop to the PCC compound. For this purpose they are hereby excused from office. All chiefs of offices/primary units of the aforesaid agencies shall assign responsible employees under them to check on the attendance of their respective employees.
