[ MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 530, August 28, 1975 ]
CREATING AN INTERIM COMMITTEE TO PINPOINT PROJECTS FOR IMMEDIATE IMPLEMENTATION IN REGIONS IX AND XII
The return of our Muslim brothers to the fold of the law has ushered in a new opportunity for them to participate in productive and meaningful activities geared towards the development of the country, particularly in Regions IX and XII. The government, through its various agencies, should create a favorable climate wherein their energies and talents may be channeled for productive purposes. This can only be attained if they are provided with the necessary tools and the means to pursue the foregoing objectives. Accordingly, there is hereby created an Interim Committee which shall pinpoint projects for immediate implementation in Regions IX and XII wherein our Muslim brothers active participation may be availed of to maximum usefulness. The Committee shall be composed of the following:

The Committee shall have the following functions:
1. Identify the projects for implementation in Regions IX and XII such as in the areas of logging, fishing, agricultural production, and other gainful activities which would have immediate impact in the social and economic growth of the regions in particular and the nation in general, with the direct participation of our Muslim brothers who have returned to the fold of the law.1aшphi1
2. Involve our Muslim brothers in such projects as may be identified and implemented and provide the framework and institutional arrangements in carrying out the said projects.
3. Perform such other functions as may be necessary towards the attainment of the objectives envisioned.
The Committee shall accomplish its task pursuant to this Memorandum Order within a period of thirty (30) days from the date hereof. Towards this end, the Committee may call on any department, bureau or office, including local governments, for such assistance as it may need in the completion of its work.
This Order takes effect immediately.
