[ MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 510, May 12, 1975 ]

EXTENDING THE FUNCTIONS OF THE NEGOTIATION/EXPROPRIATION COMMITTEE CREATED UNDER MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 486 s-1975, TO INCLUDE PROPERTIES INVOLVED IN THE PROPOSED EXTENSION OF THE JOLO AIRPORT RUNWAY.

WHEREAS, the proposed extension of the Jolo airport runway would entail the acquisition of private agricultural lands for the imp Lenient at ion of the project;

WHEREAS, an administrative machinery has been created under Memorandum Order No. 486, s-1975, to negotiate/expropriate the Boo Tan Estate in Jolo, Sulu for purposes of low-cost housing;

WHEREAS, it is deemed that the Committee created under Memorandum Order No. 486, s-1975 is deemed suitable and appropriate to deal with the landowners of the area needed for the Jolo airport extension;

NOW, THEREFORE, it Is hereby ordered that the same Committee created under Memorandum Order No. 486, s-1975 be tasked with the additional functions of negotiating with the landowners in the Jolo airport extension site and undertaking the steps deemed proper and necessary for their acquisition. The Committee is also empowered to institute expropriation proceedings, if negotiations should fail, and is enjoined to perform its assigned duties expeditiously for the early completion of the Jolo airport project.

A Committee report shall be submitted to the Executive Secretary not later than 30 June 1975.1aшphi1
