[ MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 480, January 13, 1975 ]

CREATING A COMMITTEE TO INVESTIGATE AND DECIDE THE LAND CONFLICT IN ISULAN, SULTAN KUDARAT

In view of the urgent need to provide a speedy and expeditious means for the resolution of the conflict between the Capitol Site Committee of Sultan Kudarat province and the Caram Development Company, Inc. over Lot No. 26, Swo-17250, a Committee charged with the responsibility of conducting investigation and trial on the matter is hereby created, the membership of which is as follows:

Representative of the Legal Office Malacaņang Chairman
Representative of the Department of Natural Resources Member
Representative of the Bureau of Lands Member
Representative of the Development Management Staff Member

Pursuant to the aforementioned objective, the Committee shall undertake the following:

1. On-the-spot investigation and trial to determine compliance by the Caram Development Company, Inc. with the requirements of law, particularly C.A. 141, otherwise known as the Public Land Act, for the acquisition of Lot No. 26, Swo-17260 on account of its Sales Application No. V-2445, containing an actual area of 607 hectares, more or less, and situated at Isulan, Sultan Kudarat.

2. Render appropriate judgement based on the result of the investigation and trial.

3. Such other action that may be needed to ensure the immediate completion of the above objective.1aшphi1

The Committee is hereby authorized and empowered to call upon the appropriate departments, bureaus, agencies, or instrumentalities of the government to give the necessary cooperation and assistance for the successful prosecution and discharge of its functions.

Finally, the Committee shall operate and continue to exercise its powers until such time as its designated tasks are completed after which a report of its accomplishments shall be submitted to this Office.
