CREATING A STREERING COMMITTEE TO FORMULATE PLANS AND PROGRAMS FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF AN ILONGOT VILLAGE.
The Upper Pampanga River Project of the National Irrigation Administration is presently engaged in the establishment of an Ilongot Village as part of its rehabilitation and resettlement program. Expected to be completed by 1976, the two phased project hopes to rehabilitate a minimum of 25 representative families of the different Ilongot tribes. The Project includes a training center on technical and vocational skills as well as cottage industries; a trading center as outlet for Ilongot products; elementary and high school education, not only for the children of the 25 families who may choose to remain in their present lands. Considering the magnitude of the project and to ensure its early completion, a steering committee is hereby created composed of the, duly designated representatives of the following agencies:

The Committee shall undertake the following functions:
1. To formulate plans and programs to be followed in the prosecution of the project;
2. Promulgate such policies and procedures to be followed in the implementation of the projects and
3. Oversee the implementation of the project.
The NIA-UPHP shall provide the Steering Committee with a working staff, including consultants and logistical support. The Committee is authorized and empowered to call upon all departments, bureaus, offices and instrumentalities of the government for such assistance as it may need in the discharge of its duties.1aшphi1
This Order shall take effect immediately.
