[ MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 464, October 24, 1974 ]
AMENDING MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 451 DATED SEPTEMBER 11, 1974 “CREATING A COMMITTEE FOR THE FORTHCOMING 8TH SESSION OF THE FAO INTERGOVERNMENTAL GROUP ON HARD FIBERS.”
WHEREAS, the forthcoming conference in Manila of the FAO Intergovernmental Group on Hard Fibers will serve as a Consultative meeting on economic cooperation and a selling session” as well among exporting and importing countries of hard fibers of the world;
WHEREAS, the Committee created under Memorandum Order No. 451 would be more effective in ensuring the success of the forthcoming FAO conference if the same Committee could therefore harness the active cooperation and participation of the private sector;
WHEREFORE, the composition of the Committee created under Memorandum Order No. 451 is hereby amended as follows:

A Technical Committee, the composition of which shall be determined by the Secretary of Agriculture, is likewise created which shall form the nucleus of the Philippine delegation to this FAO conference. This Committee shall be responsible for the preparation and collation of industry and. position papers on Philippine Fibers which shall be presented and discussed in the FAO conference, upon approval by the Secretary of Agriculture.1aшphi1
All departments, bureaus, offices, agencies, and instrumentalities of government are hereby enjoined to cooperate with and assist the Committee in the performance of its assigned tasks, to ensure the successful staging of the FAO Conference in Manila.
This Order takes effect immediately.
