Under Memorandum Order No. 371 dated August 20, 1973, the wearing of uniform by lady employees in the Office of the President has been resumed. Corollary to this move and in order to complete the picture of a dignified and respectable office which the Office of the President should be, all male employees in the Office of the President are hereby required to wear either polo barong or shirt with tie whether during regular office hours or on overtime service, except Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs of divisions and primary units who shall wear either cost and tie or barong.

Such attire may be made out of locally produced materials the use of which will help promote a market therefor as well as generate employment for our countrymen. All employees, male or female, are likewise urged to patronize locally made footwear to achieve the same objectives referred to above.

Exempted from this Order are those personnel whose duties and activities require manual or physical exertions or those performing special assignment which would render impractical the wearing of said attire.1aшphi1
