[ MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 371, August 20, 1973 ]
REVOKING THE ORDER SUSPENDING THE WEARING OF UNIFORMS BY LADY EMPLOYEES IN THE OFFICE OF THE PRESIDENT.
The Order suspending the wearing of uniforms by lady employees in. the Office of the President is hereby revoked. Accordingly, the wearing of the prescribed uniforms by lady employees in the Office of the President shall be resumed, effective immediately.
Exempted from the provisions of this Order are lady employees in mourning during the period of their mourning. Lady doctors and nurses in the Malacañang Clinic are also exempted from wearing the uniform herein prescribed. They, including male physician, shall wear the traditionally known nurses’ and doctors’ attire in white at all times when on duty. However, at no time will pantsuits be considered as acceptable dress anywhere in the premises of Malacañang.
Strict compliance with the provisions of this Order is hereby enjoined, violation of which shall be dealt with administratively.1aшphi1 The chiefs of divisions and units are hereby required to see to it that all lady employees in their respective divisions or units are in uniform. Those found not in uniform shall be sent home immediately to change into the prescribed attire, without prejudice to such administrative action as may be taken against them for such violation, which shall also be reflected in their efficiency records. The chiefs of divisions and units shall be equally responsible in case of violation of this Order by any of the lady employees in their respective divisions or units.
This Order shall take effect immediately.
