[ MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 356, April 18, 1973 ]
AUTHORIZING THE COMMITTEE CREATED UNDER MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 338 DATED JANUARY 23, 1973, TO PROCESS VARIOUS CLAIMS OF FORMER PERSONNEL OF THE DEFUNCT CONGRESS OF THE PHILIPPINES.
Claims for benefits under the provisions of Section 699 of the Revised Administrative Code, as amended, and for compensation under the Workmen’s Compensation Act, as amended, as well as all other claims of varying nature, are among the unfinished official transactions in the defunct Congress of the Philippines.
In view of the abolition of the said Congress, and in the interest of both the government and the claimants concerned, the Committee created under Memorandum Order No. 338 dated January 23, 1973, to study and prepare a working plan for the placement or retirement of officials and employees of the Congress of the Philippines and the disposition of its properties, funds, records and other assets, is hereby authorized to process such claims in accordance with established procedure and in coordination with the Office of the Solicitor General in so far as those covered by the Workmen’s Compensation Act are concerned.1aшphi1
