[ Memorandum Order No. 338, January 23, 1973 ]

CREATING A COMMITTEE TO STUDY AND PREPARE A WORKING PLAN FOR THE PLACEMENT OR RETIREMENT OF OFFICIAL AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CONGRESS OF THE PHILIPPINES AND THE DISPOSITION OF ITS PROPERTIES, FUNDS, RECORDS AND OTHER ASSETS OF CONGRESS AND THE 1971 CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION.

In view of the ratification of the new Constitution on January 17, 1973, and the proclamation by the President of the suspension of the convening of the interim National Assembly provided for in Article XVII of the new Constitution, there will be no need now “and in the immediate future for the services of officials and employees of Congress as well as the use of theLegislative Building for the purpose intended, together with its equipment and facilities, and also the equipment and facilities of the Constitutional Convention.

There is, therefore, hereby created a committee to study and; prepare a working plan for the placement or payment of retirement or separation benefits for officials and employees of Congress, other than Senators and Representatives, and the inventory and disposition of all government property assigned to the Congress of the Philippines and the 1971.1aшphi1Constitution Convention, to be composed of the following:

Assistant Executive Secretary Roberto V. Reyes Chairman
Deputy Commissioner of the Budget Juan S. Agcaoili Member
Undersecretary of General Services Teotimo S. Aguilar Member

The committee created herein is hereby authorized to call on any government office, bureau or agency for such assistance as it may need in the performance of this task and is enjoined to call particularly on the respective secretaries of the Senate and the House of Representatives and the Constitutional Contention for the purposes of this Order.

This Committee shall submit a report to the President within sixty (60) days from the issuance of this Order.
