MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Memorandum Order No. 317, November 20, 1972 ] CREATING A PUBLIC INFORMATION UNIT IN THE EXECUTIVE OFFICE. Pursuant to the desire of the President, a public information unit is hereby created in the Executive Office under the control and supervision of the Assistant Executive Secretary for Legal Affairs. The Public Information Unit (PIU) shall be composed of the heads or representatives of the divisions and offices in the Executive Office and shall be responsible for all press releases in connection with matters pertaining to the functions of this Office. All press releases shall henceforth be coursed through and approved by the Assistant Executive Secretary for Legal Affairs.1aшphi1 (Sgd.)
