CREATING A SPECIAL COMMITTEE ON LEYTE GEOTHERMAL EXPLORATION AND DEVELOPMENT

For the proper management and direction of the exploitation and development of the geothermal resources in Leyte purposes of electric power generation and other uses, there is hereby created a Special Committee on Leyte Geothermal Exploration and Development composed of the following:

General Manager National Power Corporation	Chairman
Chairman National Science Development Board	Member
Director Bureau of Mines	Member
Provincial Governor Leyte Member	Member
Chief Volcanologist Commission on Volcanology	Member

The terms of reference of the Committee shall include among others the following:

1) To formulate the program and cause the implementation of the participation of the Philippine Government in the exploration of the Leyte geothermal resources, in collaboration with the Government of New Zealand, and to agree on the allocation to the different Government agencies for providing the requirements of the program in terms of manpower, financial and other requirements.

2) On the basis of the results of the exploration work formulate policy guidelines and make recommendation to the Office of the President on the proper uses of the resources.1aшphi1
