[ Memorandum Order No. 296, July 31, 1972 ]

CREATING A COMMITTEE TO FINALIZE THE PLANS FOR THE EXTENSION OF THE PHILIPPINE RAILWAYS COMPANY.

To insure complete coverage and preparations to finalize the plans for the extension and development of the Philippine Railways Company (project), there is hereby created a committee to be composed of the following:

Governor Recio M. Garcia, DBP Chairman

Mr. Anatalio T. Viray, Manager, PRC (DBP) Vice-Chairman

Mr. Carlos C. Leaño, Jr., IOC Member

Mr. Juan de Castro, Jr., PNR Member

Mr. Roberto Abling, DMS-PES Member

Mr. Cresenciano C. Andaya, PES-PNR Member

The Committee shall have the following functions:

1. To review and evaluate the plans prepared by the Study Group created under DBE TAO #40, series of 1972;

2. To set up and coordinate all necessary working arrangements among pertinent government agencies and offices concerned or to be involved in the Project; and

3. To recommend final plans and procedures as will affect economy, speed efficiency in the implementation of the Project.

The Committee is hereby authorized to call on any department, bureau, agency of office, including government-owned or controlled corporations as well as local government instrumentalities for such assistance as it may need in the discharge of its duties and functions.

The Committee shall meet at the call of the Chairman and shall submit its recommendation to this Office on or before August 31, 1972.1aшphi1
