[ Memorandum Order No. 79, October 24, 1967 ]

DISSOLVING THE COMMITTEE CREATED UNDER MEMORANDUM ORDER NO. 68, DATED JULY 25, 1967, TO LOOK INTO THE FATAL ACCIDENTS AT THE PHILEX MINES.

WHEREAS, Memorandum Order No. 68, dated July 25, 1967, of this Office created a Committee composed of the Director of Labor Standards as chairman, the Director of the Bureau of Mines and the Chairman of the Institute of Filipino Geologists, as members, to look into the Philex Mines disaster and to submit its findings and recommendations thereon;.

WHEREAS, through Mines Special Order No. 238 issued on July 2.4, 1967, the Director of Mines created a similar investigating body to look into the accident, including the matters mentioned in Memorandum Order No. 68; and

WHEREAS, the investigating body created by the Director of Mines has conducted a thorough investigation of the accident and is now finalizing its findings and recommendations thereon;

WHEREFORE, Memorandum Order No. 68, current series, creating a Committee to look into the Philex Mines Disaster, is hereby revoked.1aшphi1

The investigating body organized by the Director of Mines shall be allowed to finish its investigation of the accident, and is directed to submit immediately its findings and recommendations to the President, through channels.

This Order shall take effect immediately.
