[ Memorandum Order No. 68, July 25, 1967 ]

CREATING A COMMITTEE TO LOOK IN TO THE FATAL ACCIDENTS IN THE PHILEX MINES, AND TO SUBMIT FINDINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS THEREON.

WHEREAS, the recent fatal accidents in the Philex Mines could have been due to the inadequate facilities in the mining operations or unsystematic methods used;

WHEREFORE, a committee is hereby created to look into the accident composed of:

The Secretary of Labor or his representatives	Chairman
The Director of Mines	Member
The Chairman, Institute of Filipino Geologists	Member

The Committee is hereby empowered to call upon any department, bureau, office, agency or instrumentality of the government for such assistance as it may need in the accomplishment of its task. It is also granted all the powers of an investigating committee under Sections 71 and 580 of the Revised Administrative Code.1aшphi1

It shall submit its findings and recommendations as soon as possible.
