MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Memorandum Order No. 34, June 18, 1963 ] REGULATING PERSONAL FOLLOW-UP OF OFFICIAL PAPERS IN THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION. For the information and guidance of officials and employees in this Office, there is quoted hereunder the pertinent portions of Memorandum Circular No. 17 dated May 29, 1963, issued by the Civil Service Commission: “It has been observed by this Office that much of the time and efforts of its personnel is being spent on attending to interested parties who come to this Office to follow-up official papers and other matters, consistent with this Office’s policy to give not only efficient and honest service but also a courteous one. “As a result of this practice, however, much-needed action on important papers has been delayed and pending papers have accumulated. “To enable us to act on these matters therefore, personal follow-up will not be allowed in the afternoon, effective June 16, 1963. Those have urgent business with this Office may at tend to them in the morning only. “However, as soon as official papers are brought up-to-date, business with the public will be resumed on the eight-hour basis, as usual.” Attention of all concerned is, however, invited to Memorandum Circular No. 2 of this Office dated March 29, 1962, prohibiting personal follow-up of official communications by unauthorized government officials and employees.1aшphi1 SALVADOR L.
