[ MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 5, August 23, 2022 ]

SUSPENDING WORK IN GOVERNMENT OFFICES AND CLASSES IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS AT ALL LEVELS IN THE NATIONAL CAPITAL REGION, INCLUDING THE PROVINCES OF CAVITE, LAGUNA, RIZAL, BULACAN, ZAMBALES, AND BATAAN ON 23 AUGUST 2022, EFFECTIVE 1:00 PM, UNTIL 24 AUGUST 2022 IN VIEW OF THE CONTINUING INCLEMENT WEATHER

Upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), and in view of the continuing inclement weather, work in government offices and classes in public schools at all levels in the National Capital Region, including the provinces of Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, Bulacan, Zambales, and Bataan, are hereby suspended on 23 August 2022, effective 1:00 PM, until 24 August 2022.

However, those agencies whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital services shall continue with their operations and render the necessary services.

The suspension of work for private companies, offices and schools is left to the discretion of their respective heads.

This Circular shall take effect immediately.1a⍵⍴h!1
