MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 65, September 23, 2019 ] Suspending work in government offices in the Executive Branch on 23 September 2019 from 3:00 o'clock in the afternoon onwards to afford government workers more time to spend with their familires Pursuant to Proclamation No. 60 (s. 1992) which declared the last week of September of every year as Family Week, and in order to afford government workers more time to spend with their families on this, the first day of the 27 th National Family Week Celebration, work in government offices in the Executive Branch on 23 September 2019 is hereby suspended from 3:00 o'clock in the afternoon onwards. However, those agencies whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital set vices shall continue with their operations and render the necessary services. The suspension of work in other branches of government and in independent commissions or bodies is left to the sound discretion of their respective heads/management.1âшphi1 This Circular shall take effect immediately.
