MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 24, September 12, 2017 ] Upon the recommendation of the National Disaster risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), and in view of the continuing inclement weather brought about by the Typhoon "Maring," work in government offices and classes in public schools at all levels in the National Capital region, Region III and Region IV-A, are hereby suspended today, 12 September 2017. However, those agencies whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital services, shall continue with their operations and render necessary services.1âшphi1 The suspension of work for private companies, offices and schools is left to the discretion of their respective head.
