MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 178

Upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) and in view of the continuing inclement weather brought about by typhoon “Isang”, work in government offices in areas under Public Storm Warning Signal Numbers 2 and 1, including the National Capital Region and nearby provinces is hereby suspended today, Friday, 17 July 2009.

However, those agencies whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital public services shall continue with their operations and render the necessary services.1aшphi1

This Circular shall take effect immediately.
