[ MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 112-A, October 26, 2006 ]
AMENDING MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR 112, SERIES OF 2006, AND PROVIDING FOR THE PARTICIPATION OF PHILIPPINE DEPOSIT INSURANCE CORPORATION IN THE HOUSING FAIR FOR EMPLOYEES IN THE PUBLIC SECTOR
WHEREAS, Memorandum Circular No. 112 series of 2006, authorized the conduct of a Housing Fair to be held in October 2006 in celebration of the National Shelter Month, until April 2007;
WHEREAS, under Section 3 of MC No. 112, an Inter-Agency Committee shall be created to set forth the terms and conditions for the sale of eligible acquired properties under the affordable Housing Program for the government employees as a non-wage benefit/incentive;
WHEREAS, the Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC), a government corporation, has real estate properties and has expressed interest to participate in the Housing Fair for employees in the Public Sector.
WHEREAS, the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council recommended the inclusion of PDIC as a participant and a member of the Inter-Agency Committee;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order:
Section 1. Memorandum Circular No. 112 is hereby amended to include the PDIC as a participant and a member of the Inter-Agency Committee created for the conduct of the Housing Fair.
Section 2. The PDIC shall provide HUDCC its list of acquired properties for inclusion in the program on foreclosed assets.1âшphi1
Section 3. The HUDCC, as the oversight agency for the celebration of the Shelter Month and the conduct of the Housing Fair, shall undertake the necessary coordination with PDIC regarding its participation in the said activity.
Section. 4. This Memorandum Circular shall take effect immediately.
