[ MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 62, August 04, 2004 ]
ENJOINING ALL INFORMATION OFFICERS OF OFFICES/AGENCIES AT THE REGIONAL AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT LEVELS IN THE VISAYAS TO ATTEND AND PARTICIPATE IN THE ANNUAL GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE VISAYAS COMMUNICATORS NETWORK (VISCOMNET) ON AUGUST 18-20, 2004.
The Visayas Communicators Network (VISCOMNET), a network of government information officers in the Visayas was organized through the efforts of the regional directors of the Philippine Information Agency-Visayas Cluster, which aims to enhance the professional growth of government information officers in the Visayas Regions (Regions VI, VII, & VIII). To achieve this purpose, the VISCOMNET shall conduct its annual general assembly on August 18-20, 2004 at the Cebu Grand Hotel, Cebu City. The assembly aims to consolidate government information in the Visayas for the enhancement of good governance, promote/advocate the 10-point Agenda of the PGMA Administration, and at the same time tap the support of the private and non-government sector and share best practices in communication. All heads of government departments, bureaus and local government units in the Visayas, are enjoined to authorized their information officers to attend and participate in the VISCOMNET Convention on August 18-20, 2004 on official time with expenses, such as transportation, per diems, registration fees, and other necessary fees/expenses at rates prescribed in accordance with existing policies of the Department of Budget and Management, the Commission on Audit and the Civil Service Commission, chargeable against the funds of their respective agencies/offices, subject to the availability of funds of their respective agencies/offices, subject to the availability of funds and the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. This Memorandum Circular shall take effect immediately.1âшphi1
