AUTHORIZING GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES TO ATTEND ON OFFICIAL BUSINESS THE CONFERENCE ON HOUSING NEEDS OF GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES ENTITLED “BILIS SERBISYO NG PABAHAY ALAY SA KAWANI NG PAMAHALAAN” TO BE CONDUCTED BY THE PHILIPPINE GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION

The Philippine Government Employees Association (PGEA) has scheduled a Conference on Housing Needs of Government Employees entitled “Bilis Serbisyo ng Pabahay alay sa Kawani ng Pamahalaan” on June 4, 2002 at the Holiday Plaza Hotel, Cebu City and on June 27, 2002 at the Maguindanao Hotel, Davao City. The Conference is designed to:

1. To serve as a venue among government employees to consolidate issues and concerns on their housing needs;

2. To increase awareness and provide information on how to access affordable housing program and possible sources of funds;

3. To establish mechanisms in addressing housing problems and other related issues of government employees;

4. To strengthen networking and cooperation among government employees and concerned institutions for speedy access to housing services.

In this connection, all government departments, bureaus and offices including government owned and controlled corporations, state universities, or colleges and local government units are hereby authorized to send at least two representatives from management and the associations’ rank and file employees to the Conference.1âшphi1

In line with the priority concern of government on housing, the Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council, Pag-IBIG, GSIS and other concerned government agencies are likewise requested to extend necessary support for the successful conduct of the said conference.
