MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Memorandum Circular No. 19, February 11, 2002 ] ENCOURAGING DEPARTMENTS, AGENCIES, INSTRUMENTALITIES AND OFFICES OF THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH TO SUPPORT AND ASSIST IN THE PREPARATIONS FOR THE 1ST ASIAN PARLIAMENTARIANS GOLF CUP 2002 WHEREAS, the House of Representatives of the Philippines will host the 1st ASIAN PARLIAMENTARIANS GOLF CUP 2002 on April 19-20, 2002, at the Manila Golf Club and Wack-Wack Golf Club, respectively; WHEREAS, the project is envisioned to forge legislative linkages and networks in the Asian region by fostering a sense of oneness and brotherhood among Asian legislators; WHEREAS, to ensure the success of the 1ST ASIAN PARLIAMENTARIANS GOLF CUP 2002, there is a need to encourage the Philippine Sports Commission, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Tourism with the Philippine Tourism Authority, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police and all other concerned departments, agencies, instrumentalities and offices of the Executive Branch, as well as the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation, to support and assist the Committee on Youth and Sports of the House of Representatives in the preparations for the 1ST ASIAN PARLIAMENTARIANS GOLF CUP 2002.1âшphi1 NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby encourage the Philippine Sports Commission, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Tourism with the Philippine Tourism Authority, Armed Forces of the Philippines, Philippine National Police and all other concerned departments, agencies, instrumentalities and offices of the Executive Branch, as well as the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office and the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation, to support and assist the Committee on Youth and Sports of the House of Representatives in the preparations for the 1st ASIAN PARLIAMENTARIANS GOLF CUP 2002.
