AUTHORIZING GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES WHO PARTICIPATED IN THE PROGRAM IN DEVELOPMENT ECONOMICS TO ATTEND ON OFFICIAL BUSINESS THE NATIONAL LECTURE ON DECEMBER 1, 2001 TO BE CONDUCTED BY THE UNIVERSITY OF THE PHILIPPINES SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS AT THE SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS AUDITORIUM
The Program in Development Economics (PDE) of the University of the Philippines School of Economics has organized a National Lecture on “Bracing for Next Year’s Economy” on December 1, 2001 to discuss “fearless forecasts” and challenges on the state of the country’s economy by the year 2002. The lecture is part of the continuing education of the PDE participants that aims to upgrade the knowledge and skills of program participants in economic analysis and economic policymaking.1âшphi1
In this connection, all government officials and employees who have participated in the Program in Development Economics of the UP School of Economics are hereby enjoined to attend this lecture series. Their attendance shall be on official business and the cost of their participation shall be in accordance with the existing rates for conferences, seminars and workshops prescribed under National Budget Circular No. 442, dated March 29, 1995.
