MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Memorandum Circular No. 16, November 20, 2001 ] AUTHORIZING THE PARTICIPATION ON OFFICIAL TIME OF ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNING PRACTITIONERS IN GOVERNMENT IN THE NATIONAL CONVENTION OF THE PHILIPPINE INSTITUTE OF ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNERS The Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners (PIEP) will hold its Annual Convention on November 23 & 24, 2001 with the theme, Planning and the Professions: Teaming up for a Better Philippine Environment, at the EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Mandaluyong City.1âшphi1 In support of the government’s efforts towards a better Philippine environment, government environmental planning practitioners are hereby authorized to attend the above-mentioned Convention on official time, provided that such attendance will not adversely affect the functions of their respective offices as well as the delivery of services to the public. Within thirty (30) days, thereafter, participants shall submit a report on the Convention outputs, action plans and recommendations to the Office of their respective Department Secretaries and Heads of Agencies. Likewise, the PIEP shall furnish the Civil Service Commission a report on the results of the convention as a list of the attendees. By authority of the President: (Sgd.) ALBERTO G.
