MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Memorandum Circular No. 137, November 28, 1995 ] AUTHORIZING ATTENDANCE OF GOVERNMENT PLANNERS TO THE 1995 ANNUAL CONVENTION OF THE PHILIPPINE INSTITUTE OF ENVIRONMENTAL PLANNERS The Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners (PIEP), the accredited professional organization of licensed environmental planners in the country, will hold its Annual Convention at the Shangrila’s EDSA Plaza Hotel on November 27, 1995. The convention theme is “Forging Ahead: Public-Private Partnership in Environmental Planning,” in line with the current thrusts of government in mobilizing and mainstreaming private sector initiatives in national development. The participation in the convention of national and local government planners is hereby authorized on official time only, provided there will be no disruption of normal office activities/services in their respective agencies by reason thereof.1aшphi1 The participants shall submit to their respective agency heads a complete report on their attendance in the convention. Likewise, the PIEP is requested to submit to this Office and the Civil Service Commission a general report on the conference, including a list, by office, of participants from the government.
