[ Memorandum Circular No. 130, August 22, 1995 ]
REQUIRING ALL GOVERNMENT AGENCIES TO FURNISH THE UNITED STATES LIBRARY OF CONGRESS THEIR OFFICIAL PUBLICATIONS IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RP-US AGREEMENT ON THE EXCHANGE OF OFFICIAL PUBLICATIONS.
WHEREAS, the Republic of the Philippines and the United States of America signed the Agreement on the Exchange of Official Publications which entered into force on 07 June 1948;
WHEREAS, the aforementioned Agreement was amended through another Agreement which entered into force on 20 December 1965;
WHEREAS, the aforementioned Agreement and its subsequent amendment require both Governments to furnish each other regularly with copies of their official publications;
WHEREAS, the aforestated obligations of both countries under the Agreement, as amended, have been neglected in recent years.1aшphi1
WHEREFORE, all government agencies are hereby directed to furnish the United States Library of Congress, through its office in Manila, their official publications, immediately upon the release of the same.
This Memorandum Circular shall take effect immediately.
