AUTHORIZING ATTENDANCE IN THE PINATUBO MULTI-SECTORAL CONSULTATIVE CONGRESS
The Mt. Pinatubo Commission (MPC) is conducting a series of consultations collectively called the Pinatubo Multi-Sectoral Consultative Congress, under MPC’s Project: “Pinatubo” Consultations.
In furtherance of the Memorandum from the President dated 10 October 1993 on “intensified government efforts in response to the Pinatubo Volcano eruptions”, and following the Technical Consultation held on 7-8 December 1993 at the Development Bank of the Philippines Building in Makati, the succeeding series of consultations will provide the different “Pinatubo” stakeholders more opportunities to harmonize their interests and responses to the ever changing “Pinatubo” challenges, towards unimpeded program implementation.1aшphi1
The next series will be the joint conduct of the Sectoral and Leaders Consultation to be held on 21-25 April 1994 at the Binictican and George Dewey facilities of the Subic Bay Free Port Zone, Philippines.
In view of the timeliness and importance thereof, heads of concerned departments, bureaus, offices, and agencies of the national government, including government-owned or controlled corporations, are hereby authorized to send participants to the consultation series as scheduled by the MPC, on official time with reasonable expenses for transportation, per diem, and other fees, chargeable against the appropriations of their respective offices.
Participants shall submit to their respective agency heads a report on their participations.
This Circular shall take effect immediately.
