AUTHORIZING ATTENDANCE TO THE FIRST CONFERENCE ON THE PLANNING PROFESSION

The Philippine Institute of Environmental Planners (PIEP), the official organization of licensed/accredited planners in the country, in cooperation with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) through the Local Government Academy (LGA), and the School of Urban and Regional Planning Alumni Association of the University of the Philippines, will conduct the First Conference on the Planning Profession at the Bureau of Soils and Water Management (BSWM) Building, Diliman, Quezon City on November 9, 1994. The conference aims to discuss and recommend ways of improving the practice of the planning profession in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 1308, series of 1978, “Regulating the Practice of the Profession on Environmental Planning in the Philippines.”1aшphi1

The participation in the conference of national and local government planners is hereby authorized on official time only, provided there will be no disruption of normal office activities/services in their respective agencies by reason thereof.

The participants shall submit to their respective agency heads a complete report on their attendance or participation in the conference. Likewise, the PIEP is requested to submit to this Office and the Civil Service Commission a general report and evaluation of the conference, including a list by office of participants from the government.
