AUTHORIZING ATTENDANCE IN THE FIRST GO-IT NATIONAL CONVENTION
The Government Organization for Information Technology (GO-IT), an association of government IT professionals, practitioners and users, will hold its First National Convention at the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) Freeport Zone, Subic Zambales on November 3-5, 1994 on the theme: “Government Professionals: A Vital Force to Attain Philippines 2000”. The activity aims to discuss current IT issues and concerns particularly those affecting the government IT professionals as well as focus on improving the government IT personnel and enhancing the work environment.
The participation in the convention by national and local government IT professionals and advocates, including members from GO-IT, is hereby authorized on official time only, provided there will be no disruption of normal office activities/services in their respective agencies by reason thereof.1aшphi1
The participants shall submit to their respective agency heads a complete report on their attendance or participation in the convention. Likewise, the GO-IT is requested to submit to this Office and the Civil Service Commission a general report and evaluation of the convention, including a list by office of participants from the government.
