AUTHORIZING ATTENDANCE IN THE SEMINAR ENTITLED “INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND LIBRARY AUTOMATION FOR PHILIPPINES 2000” TO BE CONDUCTED BY THE ASSOCIATION OF SPECIAL LIBRARIES OF THE PHILIPPINES, INC.
The Association of Special Libraries of the Philippines, Inc. (ASLP) will conduct a two-day seminar entitled “Information Technology and Library Automation for Philippines 2000” to be held at the Manila Galleria Suites on November 24 and 25, 1994. This Seminar is a follow-through of the ASLP Symposium held on January 28, 1994 and its midyear seminar held on May 19-20, 1994.
Inasmuch as attendance in this seminar shall be credited to the Continuing Professional Education (CPE) requirements of librarians, the participation of government librarians thereto is hereby authorized on official time only, provided there will be no disruption of normal office activities/services in their respective agencies by reason thereof.
The participants shall submit to their respective agency heads a complete report on their attendance in the seminar. Likewise, ASLP is requested to submit to this Office and the Civil Service Commission a general report and evaluation of the Seminar, including a list of office of participants from the government.1aшphi1
