MALACAÑAN PALACE MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES [ Memorandum Circular No. 103, October 10, 1994 ] AUTHORIZING THE ATTENDANCE IN THE TWO-DAY LIVE-IN WORKSHOP OF THE PHILIPPINE COUNCIL FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT (PCSD) ENTITLED STRENGTHENING GOVERNMENT PARTICIPATION IN THE PCSD ON OCTOBER 10 TO 11, 1994 AT THE CONFERENCE CENTER, DEVELOPMENT ACADEMY OF THE PHILIPPINES, TAGAYTAY CITY The Philippine Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD) will hold a two-day live-in workshop entitled “Strengthening Government Participation in the PCSD” on October 10-11, 1994, at the Conference Center, Development Academy of the Philippines, Tagaytay City.1aшphi1 The two-day live-in workshop is designed to address the need to rationalize the present organizational set-up of the PCSD vis-a-vis the need to expand sectoral representation; to strengthen the Committees and the Sub-committees in re-evaluating the number, membership and functions thereof; and to formulate mechanisms and criteria on the acceptance of new members that will ensure effective delivery of its mandate and responsibilities in the light of emerging local, national and international demands. Considering the significance and relevance of this workshop in strengthening the government’s capability to contribute towards the attainment of sustainable development objectives, the following departments/agencies are hereby directed to send appropriate representations to attend the workshop entitled “Strengthening Government Participation in the PCSD on October 10-11, 1994, at the Conference Center, Development Academy of the Philippines, Tagaytay City “, to wit: Department of Agriculture Department of Budget and Management Department of Environment and Natural Resources Department of Education, Culture and Sports Department of Foreign Affairs Department of National Defense Department of Energy Department of Health Department of Labor and Employment Department of Science and Technology Department of Public Works and Highways Department of Social Welfare and Development Department of Trade and Industry Department of the Interior and Local Government Department of Agrarian Reform Department of Justice Department of Finance The participants shall submit to their respective agency heads a complete report on their attendance and participation in (he workshop. Likewise, PCSD shall submit to this Office a report and evaluation of the workshop seminar.
