AUTHORIZING ATTENDANCE OF GOVERNMENT ENGINEERS IN THE 23rd NATIONAL ROAD SAFETY CONVENTION TO BE HELD ON MAY 27–28, 1993, AT THE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH CENTER.

The Safety Organization of the Philippines, Inc. (SOPI) is sponsoring the 23rd National Road Safety Convention to be held at the Occupational Safety and Health Center on May 27–28, 1993. Subjects of general interest involving road safety and accident prevention will be presented and discussed by authoritative resource speakers, both from the private and government sectors.

The participation of the government sector is hereby authorized. Heads of the Departments of Public Works and Highways, Transportation and Communication, Environment and Natural Resources, Interior and Local Government, Energy, the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System, National Irrigation Administration, Local Water Utilities Administration, National Water Resources Board, National Power Corporation and other interested agencies may send a reasonable number of their officials and employees to attend this convention on official time, provided there will be no disruption of normal office activities/services in their respective offices by reason thereof and the corresponding fees shall be borne by the attendees themselves.1aшphi1

The participants shall submit to their respective agency heads a complete report on their attendance or participation in the convention. Likewise, SOPI is requested to submit to this Office and the Civil Service Commission a general report and evaluation of the convention including a list by offices of participants from the government.
