REQUIRING STRICT IMPLEMENTATION OF PRESIDENTIAL DECREE NO. 1866, AS AMENDED, AND THE STRICT IMPLEMENTATION OF AND COMPLIANCE WITH THE RULES AND REGULATIONS ISSUED PURSUANT THERETO

In view of the proliferation of loose firearms, which constitute threats to peace and order, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, do hereby order the strict implementation of Presidential Decree No. 1866, “Codifying The Laws On Illegal/Unlawful Possession, Manufacture, Dealing In, Acquisition Or Disposition, of Firearms, Ammunition Or Explosives Or Instruments Used In The Manufacture of Firearms, Ammunition Or Explosives, and Imposing Stiffer Penalties For Certain Violations Thereof and For Relevant Purposes”, as amended, and the strict implementation of and compliance with the “Rules and Regulations Implementing Presidential Decree Number 1866 Dated 29 June 1983 Codifying The Laws On Illegal/Unlawful Possession, Manufacture Dealing In, Acquisition Or Disposition, of Firearms, Ammunition (Or) Explosives Or Instruments Used In the Manufacture of Firearms, Ammunition Or Explosives and Imposing Stiffer Penalties For Certain Violations Thereof and For Relevant Purposes.1aшphi1
