[ Memorandum Circular No. 1144, June 1, 1979 ]
REQUIRING GOVERNMENT OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES IN THE METRO MANILA AREA TO ATTEND THE CEREMONIES AT THE LUNETA ON THE OCCASION OF THE 81ST ANNIVERSARY OF THE PROCLAMATION OF PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENCE ON JUNE 12, 1979.
In connection with the celebration of the 81st anniversary of the proclamation of Philippine Independence, at least fifty (50) officials and employees from each Ministry, Bureau and Agency of the government in the Metro-Manila area are hereby required to attend the ceremonies at the Luneta on June 12, 1979. The ceremonies start at 7:00 a.m. with the nationwide hoisting of the Philippine Flag to be led by his Excellency, the President of the Philippines.
In view of the significance of the event, it is imperative that the ceremonies commemorating the occasion be witnessed and participated in by government officials and employees.1aшphi1
Accordingly, all heads of Ministries, bureaus and officials including government-owned and controlled corporations in the Metro-Manila area are hereby enjoined to see to it that the provisions of this Circular are strictly complied with and direct the said officials and employees to be at the designated places for government personnel at the site of the Rizal Monument not later than 6:30 a. m.
